Summer Stipend Grants for Course Enhancement
Each year, the Offices of the Provost and the Dean of Libraries support a competitive, peer-reviewed summer stipend program for faculty who elect to enhance a course with learning outcomes that address information literacy. Faculty who apply are chosen for the program must team up with an academic librarian to design new assignments and teach collaboratively. The link to the 2013 application introduces the grant's basic requirements.
Resources for Faculty and Librarians on Information Literacy
Academic librarians at WVU (and around the country) are using Research Guides as teaching and learning resources. Basically they are dynamic, mini-websites which point users to relevant library and Internet information. This LibGuide points to definitions, research results, relevant videos, and other sources to assist in teaching the many elements of student research. http://libguides.wvu.edu/infolit
Information Literacy Initiative

The statement gives a broad overview of our slow, but steady evolution to a learning organization. http://www.libraries.wvu.edu/instruction/infolit/initiative
